Red Bull Mini Drome will be returning to Scotland on June 17th with the world’s smallest velodrome, daring fixed gear riders from across the UK and Europe to take the Red Bull Mini Drome crown in Edinburgh’s historic College of Art.

Red Bull Mini Drome pushes rider’s body and mind to the next level as they navigate themselves around a unique and technically challenging course reaching speeds of up to 20 km/ph. The event will be open to fixed gear riders of all ages and abilities.

The purpose built track has been engineered in Germany by Velotrack, the team who built the velodromes for the Atlanta Olympics and the Delhi Commonwealth Games. The Red Bull Mini Drome track will maintain race worthy dimensions in the smallest possible size to enable single pursuit.

UK Based specialists Charge Bikes are providing Gold, Silver and Bronze custom Charge bikes for the winners and all those who qualify for the final rouns will receive a customised goody bag from Charge full of bike relate treats.

The venue has a spectator capacity for 200 people and is free to all public on a first come, first served basis. A donation to Wings for Life would be welcome. The Red Bull Mini Drome already has a dedicated following which never fails to create an electric atmosphere. The competition will only be enhanced by bringing it to such an individual and culturally important venue as the Edinburgh College of Art.

Qualifying is open to over a 100 competitors in a single timed race. Riders will be timed using the Velotrack Timing System. The top 32 racers with ther quickest time across the 10 laps will progress through the competition to the finals that will be a single pursuit trial format.
