Lapierre Road Bikes
With the Tour de France just around the corner and the buzz surrounding the possibility of another win for Team Sky and a British rider, this time in the shape of Chris Froome, there’s no better time to treat yourself to a new road bike. Now I have to be honest here, I bought my 2010 Cube Agree GTC Pro 2yrs ago and at that point knew hee haw about bikes, some would argue that much hasn’t changed but we’re all entitled to our own opinions! At that point and even last year I wouldn’t look at a Lapierre, not because I didn’t like the brand or had heard bad reports, the bike just didn’t look the part for me, they were very bland in my opinion.
Lapierre must have been of the same opinion as me, as this year they have had a radical overhaul of the colour-ways and boy they are have made a good job! From being bland looking bikes they are now eye catching and a range I would definitely look at if I was in the market for a new bike.
There are three different models in the Lapirerre Road Bike Range:

I’m going to take a look at some of the bikes from the Lapierre Road range, one entry level, one mid range and one top of the range bike to give you an ideal of what Lapierre have to offer.

The Lapierre Audacio 200 is the entry level model and is equipped with the Shimano 2300 3x8spd triple groupset. This really is a very sturdy alloy road bike with a stylish finish which utilizes the same geometry as it’s big brother the Sensium and is ideal for someone starting out. A womens specific model is also available, Lapierre Audacio 200L.

The high en-range designed for club cyclists and club members comes in the shape of the Xelius. That’s not to say that it’s not suitable for the everyday cyclist, it’s just the geometry is set up for racing.
