Toing and FreeFlowing

Toing and froing, back and forward. It’s a bit like trying to decide what to write here but FreeFlowing is what we are about so here goes a little introduction…to me!

I’m Andy O’Neill and I’m responsible for all things trail centre related within FreeFlow, namely the construction of our own set of trails, adding to the top riding spots that already exist in Scotland.

About Me:

A passionate cyclist who enjoys all types of mountain biking. I focus mainly on street, park, dirt and free-ride on my rigid single speed bike and my geared hard tail. No full sus here!

Currently one of my most visited riding destinations is EK Park which is an indoor skate park close to work. There’s lots of crossover between riding an indoor skate park and riding trails outdoors, even though it doesn’t seem like it on the face of it.

Get your out of the box thinking cap on!

Riding parks get you into the way of looking for new lines and new ways of riding the same old line or trail. It’s also pretty good for getting in some air miles too! The progressive nature of skate parks is something I’m keen to capture within our trails.

Having recently sat my Trail Cycle Leader (TCL) training, I am keen to sit the assessment which will allow me to instruct at our trails and further afield.

Keep your eyes peeled for more blogging action from yours truly…

Andy
